Another thread about the aftermath of Thomas Cook...

As above, we had flights for next October 3rd which we now obviously need to re-book but I've never had to do this before as this is the first year we've done DIY instead of a package with TUI.

When are flights likely to be on sale for that date from the usual crowd?

That's what I understand but do they get release for the month of October 2020 on the 1st December 2019 or is it rolling day by day etc? Just checked Norwegian and you can book up to the 11th September 2020 so it seems to be just under 12 months ahead.

BA release theirs 355 days out, Virgin 331. Obviously you have to wait for your return flight to be available to book.

BA released flights earlier than the other airlines for Easter 2020 - prices doubled a few days later and are still silly high now. It was 354 days when we booked, I think it's typically about 330?

11 months before your desired flight date the flight will be released.

They were quite a bit more expensive than TC when we originally booked. I can't imagine they've dropped given what's happened.

*Edit*

£800 odd more than TC were for comparable flights.

To be honest with you, considering the volume of affected bookings i can see the prices being high for 2020 for everywhere.

Looking at the price of our holiday with virgin, it's now 2k more expensive than it was yesterday evening at 10pm
