VH have given me this quote for Free DDP
Hi all
So with all the excitement/confusion etc yesterday, I have got a quote from VH. 14 nights at POR for 2 adults with upgraded DDP 14 day ultimate ticket Return flights from Manchester (2nd May - 16th May '19) Memory Maker (The $200 gift card won't be released until the 19th April but this will be automatically added on.) Including the Virgin Flying Member discounts for us both Cost = £4610.92 What do people think of this? Not been given a date this quote expires, so will hold it until the 19th (or if Disney drop Free Dining early) to quote up with them when things are 100% confirmed. |

Sounds about right to me. In 2016 the hotels were £2700, 1000 flights, 800 disney tickets.Obviously staying off site would be cheaper but for on site I think this is good with Virgin. That was what we paid then.
Its gone up so much since then. You have free DP as well as the $200 as Tip money etc.

Yes I agree sounds about right for moderate onsite with ddp/tickets/flights etc.comparing it to villa etc is like comparing apples with oranges.we have a condo flights and car for 8 for 30 nights for around £1500 more but not the same holiday- have a great time

This is our first time going, so we want to stay onsite. Probably the only time we will go for a few years, so want to go all out and stay in the 'Disney bubble'

As a quick guide:
POR standard room for your dates: £2541 (price from Kenwood Travel) Tickets: £790 (price from Kenwood Travel Upgraded DDP: £476 (£17pppn) Total = £3807 That means that Virgin want £402pp for flights which isn't outrageous for direct flights in May. I think you can get it a bit cheaper if you wait and are happy to DIY: Thomas Cook direct flights from Manchester: £370pp I think you'll get accommodation a bit cheaper too from places like Orlando Attractions, so you could save a couple of hundred pounds, but for a VH package I think it looks okay
