Trader Sam's Grog Grotto - queue times
The day we are planning to go to MK is a MNSSHP night so my plan is to leave by 6pm, head over to the Poly and have a bite to eat at Capt. Cooks. But we would then like to have one cocktail at the grog grotto before heading to the beach to watch the fireworks.
If we got there around 7pm how long are we likely to wait to get inside? I've read that you get buzzers and can sit on the terrace, our 2 daughters are 19 and 18 so I believe we would have to vacate by 8pm... just wondering how much time we need to allow to be able to get in just for a half hour experience... the girls would love to check it out just as much as me! And if we purchased a drink in a souvenir cup/mug could we take it out with us still filled with the drink and sit on the beach with it? Thanks

We've been there about six or seven times since it opened (including peak Xmas period) and never had to queue to get in. We had to lurk around, table less, a few times but one always came free quite quickly. I thought (but may be wrong) that under 21s were OK until 9pm. Are the reports of lines to get in very recent?
