DH wants to do a cruise this year but I am finding it so much more difficult to price up than other holidays.
Not sure about others, but my price per person per night was calculated without flights, or compulsory tips.
We fly in the day before and after the cruise we go up to Orlando for a week.

I agree, it's so much harder to price up than a 'normal' land based holiday!
This is our first cruise and think it isn't badly priced yet other cruises I've looked at are silly money - and then again I've seen deals which are comparable roughly with the one we've booked from Miami.

We've since booked another with Thomson sailing the Canary Islands (hoping we don't hate our first cruise! ) and that includes tips and flights which comes out at £114 per person per night, as it was booked as a package.

Cruise only, e.g. £850 per person for a 7 night cruise in a balcony cabin is £121.43 per person per night, flights and hotel stays obviously add to the overall cost/ affordability. There can be some good package deals for cruises with flights, hotels and transfers, sometimes cheaper than diying

Thank you. I was pricing up Carnival Freedom from Galveston to the Caribbean on a 2 week back to back,4 in a cabin( this was putting me off) in August and it was £70 ish for an outside cabin. Planning a diy cruise seems so much more complicated than Florida was !

That's a good deal including flights and tips I think!

Yes we thought so, as it also includes all-inclusive drinks too!

my bad I calculated wrong it was 102 sorry forgot about 2nd person in room haha its 204 for a cabin

The reason I think 204 is that my the money comes from our joint account is its 204 per room

I have finally booked our cruise for this year ! We have had a change of plan as we came upon flights to Orlando for £961 for the 4 of us for October half term. So...I have booked Royal Caribbean Harmony of the seas, works out at £80 pppn so I think that sounds about right. We will get the soda package as we don't drink a lot and their alcohol package seems expensive. It will be 6 nights somewhere but not decided yet then 7 nights cruise from Fort Lauderdale and a night in Orlando before flight home.
