Too early to book?
We are looking to go in November on a Caribbean cruise. We have found one that we want with Thomson.
Is it too early to book, are prices likely to go down at all.? November just seems so far away. I've never booked a holiday so far in advance before. Its not cheap, so will it be worth waiting to see if the prices drop?

Pop over to the cruise section - lots of freindly advice there!
With regards to your question - cruise prices only tend to go up - our Xmas 18 cruise has gone up over £1000 since we booked 4 months ago - I have seen on another post that their cruise has gone up £2000 EACH in 4 weeks! You can leave it to the lat minute but you run the risk of not getting what you want - cabin etc. I think the general consensus with cruises is to get what you want book a early as possible - if your not to fussed you can pick up some fabulous deals! There is a thread on the cruise section about where to find the best deals etc. And last thing - its addictive. We did a "lets see how we get on" 7 nights Fjords cruise last September - we now have 2 more booked! Katie x x |

Definitely not too early! With cruises its a bit weird in that usually the earlier you book the cheaper it actually is - unless they have a sale near the sale date. It sounds odd I know and its really strange to have a holiday booked so far in advance but my cruise in September was booked last May and the price since then has gone up around £500 I worked out. My advice is always either book early or book late hoping for some sort of sale but you can't guarantee it.

We've just booked for August 18 so definitely not too late to book for this November. At the same time as booking August 18 we snuck in an extra one in October this year and had minimal choice of cabins

We always book as far in advance as possible as usually the price is the cheapest then. We have just booked a cruise for Nov 2018 and nearly always book a minimum of a year to 18 months in advance. We do try to book on the US site though as we are then able to apply any discounts should the price drop.
