Is AKL worth £600 ?

we stayed for 2 nights in 2014 and had a fantastic time, the pool is fab, the QS (mara) is great and the TS (only tried boma) was awesome, we had savannah view but even without it i would pay the extra, how long is that for though, if it was 1-2 nights then no way but if 14 i think its a bargain

For a 10 or 14 day holiday, that £600 sounds very good value.

You need to read some reviews and look at some pictures to see whether the resort is to your taste. I love it. Some don't find it "Disney" enough. It has been described as "dark".

Distance isn't a problem at AKL. It didn't feel far from anywhere except disney springs. TBH disney springs felt far from the YC and Poly too.
It is lovely and I wouldn't be picking cbr while the building works are on the go.

Because I put value in going to Florida. As I said, everybody is different. Some will think it is worth it and other won't. Not sure why that's an issue.

Yes it's for 14 nights as we want the upgraded DDP so paying for that at a moderate versus staying at AKL was £600 for 14 nights.
Just got to wait on flights which is making me nervous !

As you say, we all attach different values to things and that value determines the "worth it" factor.

We stayed in AKL last year. I remember visiting on my first trip and thinking this is where I'd stay if I won the lottery, so staying there for two weeks was amazing.

We lucked out and without paying for a savanna room got what is classed as a partial view but was amazing. I really love animals, so this made the trip for me. The restaurants there are fantastic too.

Having said that, I feel we were so lucky I don't think we could repeat that, so we probably won't stay there again.
