best 3/4 day cruise for 22month old?

Hi

We are considering extending our Florida holiday by another week as we are getting married out there, when the rest of the family go home we are either considering a trip to the keys or a short cruise. This would be the week beginning 12July-19July09. what would be the best cruise to keep both ourselves and our daughter entertained, and preferrably not too expensive. Would love any ideas?

Thanks

Caz x

Hi Caz .. Alot of us have done Disney cruises and they are fabulous, but you pay extra for the Disney name and I'm not sure if you're willing to do that or not.

If you are, then there's a 4 night cruise going on 12th July for about $979 each via vacationstogo.com .. you may get it cheaper from dreamsunlimited.com but I don't know (you'd need to ask for a quote).

Alternatively, there is a Carnival cruise going on same day for $319 each (inside cabin) or $419 for an oceanview. I don't think your little one would have to pay but you'd need to check that bit.

I've never cruised with anyone other than Disney before so hopefully somebody will help you out with the ins and outs of what the other ships are like.

Never done Disney, but have done Royal Caribbean, Norweign & Carnival. Like them all for different reasons -

Carnival better food
RC bigger/smarter cabins
NCL for the freestyle aspect

Our favourite though is Royal Caribbean - we paid under £100 each last year for a 3 nighter to the Bahamas. vacationstogo

We are sailing on the Liberty of the Seas in 3 weeks

cruisecritic is a good link

caz we have cruised with royal caribbean and with disney, and while I would say disney obviously was absolutley magical, we found RCL was just as good for babysitting/creche and kids clubs, its our boys fave holiday! we have only every went on 3-4-5 day cruises but would love to go longer! try RCL for some great prices from Miami, we just booked ours for July this year!
