You could consider prepark opening character breakfast? On our first morning we just couldn't sleep past about 5am (kids were 10 and 6) and even with the most leisurely morning possible we were still at our first park by 7am with a breakfast booked for 8.10.
If you just arrive at MK for normal opening I'm not sure you'll get any quiet photos as the day we rope dropped MK it was packed. Doing rides in the first hour is generally regarded as the best use of time as queues are shortest then.
Agree you'd be ready for the pool in the afternoon and an early dinner. Think we were all in bed by about 8pm after our first day.

It's our first time too and we also have planned to do mk on our first day with early morning hours. We have booked fastpasses and are only planning to stay till we have had enough, due to jet lag. Then chill in the afternoon, if we feel up to it then we might venture our, we are simply going with the flow of our boys, (4 & 7)

Sounds like fun!

For us we use our TS credit for a character breakfast on the first morning as we're usually wide awake by 5am and then have a quick snack for dinner in the evening because we're way too tired to sit in a restaurant and usually in bed for 8pm at the latest.

I would try and book Crystal Palace which is a table service credit or be our guest which is a quick service credit, for pre openeing. Do you know the park hours for that day to see the opening times? You get in before the park opens. I wouldn't use a fast pass on the jungle cruise either but that's just personal opinion, I'd be getting a 7dmt one instead.

My first day is oct 10th ( Columbus Day) I checked last years Columbus Day and it opened at 8am as it's a busy day I guess. What time is the earliest a reservation could be made for Crystal Palace on an early opening day?
