Getting to Amway Center from Disney?

Hi

Does anyone have an idea how much it would cost in a taxi from Port Orleans Riverside to the Amway Center? In the unlikely event we can get reasonably priced concert tickets whilst we are there in August I'd want to make sure it was doable and not too expensive to get from the resort into Orlando and back again.

Regards

Just checked Uber estimate as we will be going up for the basketball and one way comes out at $13-$18. That's from Floridays at bottom end of I-drive.

Great thanks - I prefer the Uber estimate! It is for the Ed Sheeran concert but as far as I can see the only tickets you can get are from Ticketmaster USA and they seem to be for "Verified Fans" only so I can't even work out how much they are and how to book them so we may not get any tickets at this rate. I don't mind paying a little extra but if they have the same issues with touts so the tickets are ridiculously expensive we will give it a miss. Would have been a nice treat for our daughter but common sense has to prevail in the end.

Have you tried the arena direct ? Even if they can't help they may give you the verified link if you charm them with your best British accent

We had a look at these tickets as well - you had to register before 10 March to get a code to confirm you are a verified fan! Even then not everyone who applied was given a code. There are resale sites already selling tickets - the cheapest (!) we found were $141 each for the highest tier - by following the link on the Amway website - with most tickets running at $140 - $250 each - so think we are going to give it a miss as the face value tickets were $36-50

I know, I gave up when I saw the resale prices and I spoke to the Amway box office but there is nothing they can do it's out of their hands. My daughter would have loved to go but it's an expensive enough holiday without spending almost £500 for the 3 of us to go, especially when the cheaper tickets were around £35 each. I'll write to Ed Sheeran to see if he's got any spares!
