Kennedy for kids?
Thinking of doing a day at Kennedy. How much is there for kids? I would love to do the tours but not sure it would keep my kids concentration long enough. I'm assuming there is lots to do in the visitor centre. Kids are 6 (space mad) 9 and 14.

We took our kids in 2011 when they were 5 and 10. Whilst they didn't enjoy it quite as much as the parks they still both had a great time and didn't complain of being bored. It wa s my favourite trip (and my wife said the same) - sometimes you have to do things for you as well! As i recall there was a simulator ride, an amazing 4G cinema experience and loads of cool stuff. And the souvenir shop was a great place for kids to burn an even bigger hole in your pocket.
We are back to Florida in July and we are definitely going for a return visit. |

We had a great day there. You need to do the bus tour as the apollo rocket area is the best bit.
We did the tour, the simulator and a couple of 3D movies and all enjoyed the day |

My two (12 & 10) are really excited about going.
We went to the intrepid museum in New York in 2015 & they both could have stayed in the space bit all day. They were so taken in by it so I think spending a whole day at KSC will be a dream come true for my two! |

It's a great day out, much more chilled than the parks I'm sure they'll love it. Get there early.

My kids were 10 and 6. Both enjoyed it and 10 year old said it was his favourite day of the whole holiday. We got there for opening expecting to be on Cocoa beach by mid afternoon but ended up staying until closing and still didn't see everything. You don't need to pay for any extra tours but the included bus tour is a must do as it drops you at the apollo/Saturn centre which is great. Definitely recommend and it's an easier paced day than the other parks.

My kids were 13 & 8 when we did Kennedy last year and both loved it.
There are lots of bits for kids and they weren't bored once. This was our day if you fancy a look at what is there: https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho...d.php?t=949676 Helen x
