Arriving at Orlando MCO at midnight. Any recommendations?
Hi all,
I must say, this is a fantastic resource. I feel so much more confident planning my trip knowing that I've got TheDibb to help me! A massive thank you to all those who take the time and effort to respond. I arrive at Orlando MCO at midnight. Can anyone recommend a hotel near the airport for one night? Is getting taxis at that time easy? How long does it normally take between the time a plane lands, and the time you step out of the airport (I hear that checking out of MCO with all its security is a nightmare!). Any assistance appreciated. |

Hi,
there is a hotel in the airport terminal, we had to stay there for 1 night in May, cant remember the name at the minute, I'll look it up, think it might be the Hyatt. Anyway, it would mean that you would not need to find a taxi. At the time you arrive, I would not think you would be delayed at security, and I'm assuming from your arrival time that it is an internal flight that you'll be arriving on, in which case you won't have to go through immigration - which is normally where the delays and hassle are. Hope this helps Claire PS. further to your other thread, sorry we cant help with accomodation, we are fully booked for August |

I think I'd be inclinded to stay at the airport hotel, I am sure there is one right there in the main terminal. Orlando International Hyatt
It can take anywhere from an hour to 3 hours to leave the airport, although 3 is exceptionally bad. I would plan on around 1 1/2 hours. |

I agree that the Hyatt would be your best bet - I haven't stayed there as have never had the need but always thought it looked lovely. You would be handy to collect car hire in the morning if you wanted to as well.

can't comment on getting a taxi that time of night, or the hotel but we've never found securtiy to be that much of a nightmare - perhaps we've been lucky but it was at most an hours wait...if that. And I imagine it might be quieter that time of night?!?

If you are coming in on an internal flight then you won't have to go through security again, you will just collect your bags and leave.

I think the OP's flight is via Toronto, so they may have to do immigration.
