Emerald Island villas

Hiya

Anyone staying in Emerald Island at the minute? Booked a villa there but not heard a peep so far from the villa owner. Did email last week just to say hi and hope all will be okay etc. And again to say hope everything was okay. Hoping to get a response in the next few days.

Hoping all is okay but have to check these things!

I'm staying there too and heard nothing , my stay is in 4 weeks . Feel like maybe it's too soon to email and ask considering the nightmare they've been through , not sure if it's sensible or insensitive . would be great to hear from anyone in that resort how it's fared ?
Stayed there a few times the villas appear very solid

If your countdown is right, youve got plenty of time before you go. It doesn't sound like there was any major danage in tbat area, mainly pool screens.
Im sure the owner is prioritising where there are visitors arriving sooner than you.
I know you want to ensure you dont need to book anywhere else but give the owner chance!

This is the latest info for Emerald Island:

"We had about 100 trees that came down and only two are effecting a homes. One on Crystal Cove Loop (house is good but slight roof damage) and one on Lido Key (tree feel and brushed up against home and does not appear to have damage to the home).
The Manors homes seem to have been hit the hardest. Many roof shingles came off along with pool screens. "

I'm staying on Emerald Island and contacted our villa owner yesterday.
The management company haven't got round to checking all their property's yet so hopefully will hear something soon.
But I do believe the estate faired quite well. Lots power, but now back on.
Fingers crossed for everyone x

Thanks everyone, just to clarify, I wasn't emailing saying is your roof still on for my holiday, I was sending my thoughts etc and to see if they had anyone staying during it out of care and interest. And afterwards hoping it was all okay etc. Not for my stay which as you can see is a fair way off yet!.

Eek we are staying on Lido Key Drive in 5 weeks! I emailed the villa owner before the storm just to say I hope their properties faired well and to give me an update whenever convenient. Not heard anything yet but not too worried just now

We're staying at Emerald Island too.

The villa owner contacted us a few days ago to say that the villa had no power, pool screen damage and they hadn't had a chance to get cleaners in yet.

Having heard back from the owner since it sounds like things are getting back on track so hopefully all will be good for when we arrive Monday 18th.

We were originally supposed to arrive on Sunday just gone but our flight got cancelled... And then BA cancelled it again for today. Fingers crossed for Monday!

Our Mc tells us there has been a few pol screens out and shingles gone on some properties. Some homes hit harder than others..he thinks a mini tornado scampered through as it appears the damage is more in a line than widespread. A number of trees are down and the resort clean up crew is clearing them as fast as possible. We were fortunate and just lost a couple of pool screens and power was out for around 15 hours on Saturday but all is now restored. Our guests who were due in on the 8th arrived the 13th and no complaints.
