HK Disneyland or not?

I've been planning our trip back to WDW in 2019 since our last trip 2 years ago. And then my sister throws a spanner in the works by announcing she is getting married next Easter in Australia. Since there is no way I'm going to defer my WDW holiday it looks like we'll be going to Australia and Orlando just a few months apart.

The question is, given we will be spending 2 weeks in "the World" in August if we have a 2/3 day stopover in HK on the way to Oz should I be trying to persuade my other half that a day of that should be spent at HK Disneyland? Or is there so much to do in HK that I should wait until the summer for my Disney fix?

Hmmmm, what choices to have to make!

My niece visiting the HK park last year, and it might have been the time of year but the place was nearly deserted, they felt like they had the place to themselves and walked onto nearly all the rides, even Mystic Manor. She did it all in about 3/4 of a day.

So, if the crowds are as low when you go, why not!

I think HK Disneyland can be done in half a day. I spent a full day there (although it was in November) and actually experienced pretty much everything the park had to offer with time to spare. If you focus on attractions that are unique to HK, plus maybe one or two others, you should be fine. Absolutely do not miss Big Grizzly Mountain (I rode it twice) and Mystic Manor, and walk through Fantasy Gardens afterward. Hyperspace Mountain is especially amazing if you're a Star Wars fan. Skip Stitch Encounter unless you're a huge Stitch fan, it's just Turtle Talk but not as well done.

Now if you were thinking Shanghai, that's a different story, you need at least a full day, maybe two, to do everything.
