Chrome - wrong country. Help!
I was abroad last week and used my phone to access the Internet.
Since I've ve been back I've had the following messages pop up on my laptop and phone. Any ideas please how I go about changing whatever settings back to the UK? I've been in to Settings in Chrome and reset them up still have the same messages pop up. Edit: at the bottom of my Google home page it does have my correct location (country and town) Edited at 06:23 PM. |

Is this only happening on your phone? Do you only have access to chrome? Do you have Location services switched on?
I would say if it's something on your mobile rather than your laptop then for some reason your Location Services / GPS is stuck picking up your last working location - What phone do you have? |

I had a similar problem with my Samsung phone after our trip to Tenerife at Easter. Chrome was loading Spanish search results for me. I turned location on and it has reset itself now and everything works fine.

I'm out at the moment and on my phone using data allowance. All OK. I am assuming then that it's something to do with my home Wi-Fi. In which case I'm really confused!

I'll have a go again when home. I only use Chrome on my phone (Huawei). As mentioned it's OK now on my phone. It didn't even cross my mind to turn off wifi on it yesterday.
If it plays up again over Wi-Fi I'll be back |

Well it seems to be to do with my WiFi as it's OK on my phone using data allowance.
Just a coincidence that it happened after I'd been away I guess. I have no idea what to do. Have Googled and used an IP address checker and it shows as being registered in California. Now I'm stumped! |

Sorry I missed your reply. Am with EE and have no idea what a VPN is so will answer no to that.

Did that already. Will do it again if the same happens again. It's only been an issue on a couple of sites so will see how we go.
