Top of the world lounge
If we have booked 1 night stay at BLT on DVC points (rent) can we visit the top of the world lounge?
The person we have rented off said that we had full DVC privileges at BLT as guests... so could use the lounge. If so, can we take drinks from the lounge back to the room? Basically we want to watch the MK fireworks from the balcony of our theme park view room with a nice drink. If not possible with above what other options do we have? Would t just be a drink from the contemp shop?

No you need to be a member. You could give it a try and hope they let you in or don't ask for a member ID, but unlikely. I'd get a drink from the shop/ supermarket or one of the bars maybe in Contemporary and walk back. You also have the option of watching it from the walkway between Contemporary and BLT if you wanted to be outside but with an elevated view.

As per YT above. You need to present your blue DVC Card to get entry to the elevator. They are very tight on it. And rightly so.
If it was me I would stroll across to The Wave Bar (best in Disney) and get some drinks to go albeit they will be in plastic.

Thank you for the response and thought this would be the case hence why I asked.
It is our first night and with the little one in bed by then we were hoping to get a nice cocktail or something to drink in the balcony. Any bars in contemporary which you can take drinks from?

You could pop to the Outer Rim Lounge, next to Chef Mickeys, and get your drinks from there. They do a decent range of cocktails etc.

Thank you...
So nice range of cocktails in both wave and outer rim and less than 5 mins walk from room... hopefully? Can you take drinks away from both? We will have the little one sleeping so that’s why we are gonna chill on the balcony. It will be our first night and want to kick off the holiday with a drink on the balcony. |

I know the Wave bar does takeaway drinks as I do spend quite a bit of time there!
I think your idea is lovely. Enjoy the view etc. BLT is awesome.

A white electronic card also does the trick if you are resale only, with no perks. You still get in.

The bar staff will decant your drink to take it away and I reckon you could be back in your room in about 5 mins if you go at a pace 🍹
