whats the best currency to take please US dollars or Mexican thanks

We have been for the last 4 years in a row and we always take pesos.

Pesos and dollars both acceptable, but post Brexit vote Peso was much better value

Pesos.
Some dollars for just in case but only if you have them.
Check if he needs to pay exit tax to make sure he has enough pounds.

I took lots of single US $ bills better for tipping as it seemed difficult to get hold of the smaller demoninations of Pesos. Our hotel never had anthing less than 100 peso note when we tried to change bigger notes, unless it was a ploy to encourage more generous tipping!
