Jersey recommendations
Hi
We are thinking of booking to go to Jersey next summer for a few days 😄 Does anyone have any recommendations of places to stay? We are me, DH and DD who will be 12. We generally prefer self catering cottages and will have a car... If anyone can recommend anywhere I would be very grateful 😄

Hi
Les Ormes is a good self catering resort and it has sports facilities that I presume you can use. It is also in a good location in the west of the island. Around a 5 min drive from the airport & a 5 min drive down the hill to the beautiful St. Ouen's beach. Hope that helps :-) |

Two of the main on-island rental companies are Macoles and Freedom holidays.
We had a week away with Macoles at Easter. It was lovely. We stayed in Le Hurel holiday cottages. In the middle of the island so ideal for everywhere really, but a car was needed. We stayed in a one bed holiday house (La Laiterie at Le Hurel holiday cottages). High standard finish. The bedroom had a large double and a single (we had to ask for the single bed to be put in) - for DH, myself and our 12 yo DD. Still plenty of space. Our DS went on the double sofa bed downstairs. [Not as great as the bed apparently, but he is 6'3". Would be fine for 12 yo if you didn't want to share a room!]. They have other size cottages. V peaceful central location with good access to main island roads and lanes. Wifi good, easy parking, easy to find, no pool. Edited at 11:36 PM. |

St Brelades Bay. It’s one of the most beautiful bays in the whole world imo. We went every year for nearly 30 years! (Yes it really is that nice! 😉 ) we always stayed at St Brelades Bay Hotel.

Sounds beautiful! I think we would rather have self catering but will have a look at the hotel in case we change our mind 😄. Thanks for the recommendation x
