If we are lucky! If so I might buy a lottery ticket.

Going well I am 3 weeks into a new role & thoroughly enjoying it!

I'm a bit confused by it all. I need to book a value studio at animal kingdom jambo house.its my home resort.I will need roughly 16-20 nights there. How do i do it? Getting these rooms is really hard, even at 11 months. SO say, my 1st day there is july 8th , if I book on august 8th (for july 8th following year), will it let me book for a full week?can i then go online each day and try to get an 'extension' until i eventually get the full 20 days OR would it be better to separate out the stay into 2 bookings for 10 days each?
So as I can get 2 lots of 7 days with '3 add on days' each booking and then just 'merge' them /link them together?
Does that make sense.

Yes it will let you book 7 nights bang on the window, and now you can go on daily and extend.
There's been serious problems getting these though with them being taken out of service, but strangely seemingly available for cash bookings. Thread on this over on the other board. Hopefully these issues won't continue.

Hi Les, if you book for 7 nights you can then add on each day but you don’t need to as you’ve effectively blocked out anyone else getting that room for the following 6 days. In effect, you would only need to add on every few days until you got to to your check out day. There's no benefit to making separate reservations, the only reason to do this would be if you wanted to change resorts for one of the reservations.

The problem you’re going to have is to actually get a value studio in the first place, they are as difficult to get as Concierge rooms and now that you can modify on line people are walking reservations weeks in advance. I’d suggest you start checking availability daily so you can see what I mean and see if there’s any pattern in bookings.

I’d also have a back up plan in case you don’t get a value studio.

We managed to get two value studios for 10 days in September but had to do several bookings to get two studios for whole ten days even at the 11 month window.
We have now decided we don’t need the last four nights as we are going for a 2 bed next week at our 7 months window but wanted 10 days in case we can’t get anything else. At the moment availability looks quite good in several resorts but I still have 4 days to go.
The wait is so nerve racking.
