Similar reasons to you, I’m 22 with no children and my other half is 24, again no children. We just loved being in Disney world and having the escape from reality, it was nice to feel like to the weight had been lifted from me, no worries about work or life and we just got to enjoy ourself and be kids again.
I’m like a big kid really, I own my own house but I’m not a big fan of being an adult, I don’t enjoy having to work and I like just having fun. Being in Disney world was an escape from everything and let me be the inner child I am. I didn’t get family holidays as a kid and so these holidays to me are like making up for that. The atmosphere in the parks is just amazing, the smells, the foods, the rides, everything about it is just perfect and I just feel happier than I ever have when I’m there. I’ve not even got a holiday for next year booked yet and I’m already excited about booking and planning and thinking of the snacks I’m going to have and the rides I’m going to go on! |

You understand more as an adult. You appreciate the details more.
Lots of people have a holiday home in the South of France or Tuscany. It is just the same really. They love to go there and nobody thinks it is odd

My response is that i do not like to sit round a pool getting burnt all day and drunk all night. How many people do we know who say they are going back to the same european resort each year.
At least in Disney you get excercise and suspend the modern day challenges. You also get to meet new people. Add to this the number of quality reasturants and why would you not want to goto disney. |

A few personal reasons why I chose to go back to WDW:
We had a bad experience with our 2nd med holiday to Malta (not the destination, more the hotel.) Also, I suck at languages and am more of an introvert so somewhere with English speakers helps me come out of my shell. I'm a bit of a picky eater, American food suits me down to the ground - I'm the one who buys all the chicken nuggets/hot dogs. I don't drive much in day to day life, and definitely won't drive on a holiday, it's a chore to me. I prefer things to be within a short (<30 min) taxi/bus distance. I also prefer things to be there in the first place. I know people who go to hotels in the middle of nowhere and lie on a beach and relax - not for me I'm afraid. I appreciate unwinding, but I prefer to mix relaxing days with actually doing things. My Orlando trips aren't just about WDW - in fact we only did 2 days there last year! Doing more disney this time but for me US is more important, and we love RPR of course after last year. What they are about is a lot of excellent entertainment in a small space in a familiar yet different setting. I can't really get that too many other places. I'm searching for another destination for the future and honestly I just don't fancy most of them, I find myself pondering a far future Orlando trip. Maybe I'm too picky. I do fancy the odd city break in future though - maybe prague or vienna or something.

Hi 😊
We don't have kids and when we tell people where we are going they seem very confused! We love Disney, we love the atmosphere, the parks, some of the best food & drink, golf, spas, chilling by the pool! I have started saying to people who question my holiday choices that they can't comment unless they have been and understand and appreciate all things Disney! The annoying thing is people can get quite judgemental about it! I don't quiz people about their holiday choices! |

There is so much for adults to do at WDW. People who havent been think its just a fun fair for kids.
I've been as a child, teenager, young adult, as a proper adult with my wife and now we take our daughter. Coming up for close on 20 times I will have been to WDW and I dont think I have ever been bored. Have seen so many things change, and I cant wait to see it through my daughters eyes as she grows. She will only be two when we go next, but will already be her 3rd Disney holiday! |

Most people I know think it’s quite funny that I love WDW so much as it doesn’t seem to fit with my personality. Someone asked me today “do you just find your joy when you’re there?” and I think that just sums it up. I don’t behave any differently to at home but I feel more chilled. I think it’s a physically exhausting holiday but it’s completely mentally relaxing. Total escapism. We also have an agreement that as soon as it’s holiday time there’s no work chat allowed. So when we’re in Disney it’s all about the next ride, or show or snack! I just love being there.

We do have a child but even so, people question why we’re going again!
MIL has a look of complete distaste on her face whenever it’s mentioned! She’s never even been! We haven’t even dropped our trip next year into conversation with her yet. Apparently we aren’t broadening DS’s horizons 🙄 *We have taken him to other places! Edited at 11:04 PM. |

Because Walt Disney World has something for everyone. I can scream and laugh like a kid on Splash Mountain, then go for a cocktail or beer afterwards. We get bored on a Spanish beach but can spend the day from opening to closing at Typhoon Lagoon. So much to do; so much to see; so much to eat and drink. The last time just the two of us went, we got chatting to so many other, lovely guests. It’s perfect for us.
