So over the last few days I've been wondering about lounge access at Heathrow. When we've flown Upper/Business before we've always had a lounge to use. I've been on the Delta website and can't see any mention of a lounge, I can't believe there is no lounge!

So I do an online chat with Virgin (partners with Delta) Can we use the Virgin Clubhouse? No! You can ask when you get there if you like!

Hmmmm! So I start perusing the Virgin website, actually yes you can!

After a bit more browsing I find out something else! There is something called the Upper Class Wing at Heathrow, we are entitled to use it apparently!

A quick call to the Upper Class help desk and yes we can use it! Basically we get our taxi to drive straight up to the wing where someone meets us, checks us in and escorts us to the lounge, this sounds amazing, lovely lady on the phone registers us straight away and tells me to call them with the taxi reg number when we get in it.

I may be a tad more excited now! I bought a T- shirt on Monday! Even hubby said it feels very bizarre, like we're not actually going!

He did go on Google maps and check out the restaurants in the vicinity of our hotels and text me the menus! He must be a little excited!

Enjoy your trip. We are hoping to go to New England next year. Lounge sounds great - we are back to Extra legroom this year after 2 years in business - business is the way to go but does cost a lot.

I love Home Depot - but only been in once - but not sure if I'd get the li-ion batteries in the luggage with the power tools!

There isn't a shop anything like Lowes in Chatham. It is very quaint and barely has any chain shops or restaurants. It is a really lovely place although I have to admit to being a bit biased. My dad's family founded the town in the 1600's. I lived there only until I was about 4 but can definitely recommend it as a holiday destination. Have a great holiday with no villa maintenance!

If you do want the chisels, Hyannis is the place for large stores.

Hyannis has a Home Depot as well as Sears. The nearest Lowes is in Wareham. My favorite restaurant in Hyannis is Not Your Average Joe's at the Mall. Whenever I'm in Chatham I usually eat at the Impudent Oyster. Locals usually go to the Squire to meet up for the music and drinks. You can check to see what entertainment they have on their website. The weather can be mixed so be sure you bring a jacket.
