Mobile Avis MCO - Swap Line Experiences

Hi all

I recently found out about Avis' swap line for preferred members. It sounds like it could be great! Although very much luck of the draw.

Just wondering if anyone has any recent experience of what kind of cars were available?

Thanks

I tried this for the first time in March. I was allocated a passat, so i checked the swap bay.

I had a choice of two red mustangs, an orange mustang, silver camero, big black truck and something else i cant remember, i think it was a Dodge caravan.

I jumped in the orange mustang, drove to the exit told the guy I go it from the swap bay. He said thats fine, took driving licence and rental agreement the counter gave me and i was on my way.

I will defo be using Avis again, i think i was lucky with the selection but was still rather exciting.

I used to like alamo for the choice but the random selection from avis was quite fun. My wife said i was like a little kid running up and down the swap bay, going do i want the camero or the mustang?

Have to say that a "big black truck" sounds very appealing to me! Do they put load covers on the rear?

I assume that you can only use the "swap" line if you have a certain Group or above booked. I've booked a Group F (Ford Escape or similar), does anyone know if I'm able to swap?

Also interested in this. We have group W I believe-Ford Edge or equivilant. Have signed up for Avis preferred but first time we'll have used them. Also we're flying into Miami, do they have a swap lane?

Thank you. Having read another thread, I'm going to download the AVIS APP and check my BA car hire is synced to AVIS. DH and DD love the thought of a Mustang, but not quite sure how we'll fit four of us and our cases in it!
