Disney Tokyo booking window is only up to mid September, so a couple of weeks to go yet, but I am choosing a similar room there for us, overlooking the park.

If you book the vacation package, you can only book 3 days/2 nights as the is the way they allow you book it 'all in one'; they assume no-one wants longer! We do, so we are booking hotel first, then adding on tickets separately. We did it for Shanghai, and it looks easy, and you can choose, day by day, when you want your tickets for (eg., we want a city tour so won't need park tickets for that day, so we don't have to pay for one!).

Great thank you!

We are considering the 5 days or nights whatever they offer on the website ha and in the Disneyland Hotel hopefully.

We stayed club at Shanghai Disneyland hotel last August and it was brill. Couldn't fault it.
It's a lovely 15 min walk to Disney town and the park or a nice 5 min boat rude across the lake.
The park itself was crazy busy, especially the queues to get in in the morning. We went early did what we could up until early afternoon and then went back to the hotel to relax before going back to the park in the evening. The last couple of hours of the park were really quiet the 3 nights we visited and we could get loads done.

Thanks sky13 and willmatt for the exciting info on the Club rooms, seems fantastic, wish we were there for longer - cant wait now!

Good to see that the park is quieter later at night, I knew it would be crazy busy, especially as new parts are opening, so one of the benefits of staying on site is you can be there right up until the end!

How earlier could you get in the park by staying on site - was it worth it / did you get things done worthwhile?

Thanks

There was no early opening for hotel guests unfortunately.
The lines for opening were crazy.
I would plan at least an hour before opening and then hopefully you can get some rides done in the first hour or so.
The best time for us was at night.
I did visit during school holidays and so am not sure how this influenced things.

I thought hotel guests were entitled to one hour before park opening?

We have just come back from the most amazing time at Shanghai Disney its by far the most amazing Disney park ive been too and ive been to every Disney apart from Tokyo. The ride technology here is out of this world! The shows are amazing too! The Castle is so big and the whole park is just so pretty!

The ride technology is pretty cool. Pirates especially is awesome and so different from the other Pirates everywhere else (love the tributes to the other Pirates though like the skeleton dog). It's also nice to see the little updates to rides, like I remember for Peter Pan there were a few more effects during the ride than the WDW ride - can definitely tell that it's a newer version than the WDW one.
