Excited about Disney

I booked my Tokyo room with DVC since I was using points. My notes indicate you can book 6 months out. I was 2 days "late" on that (meaning I called 2 days after the 6 month check in mark) and the only room I could get was a donald duck room at the Ambassador. Not that this was bad, it just cost me more points than I had planned. The rooms do go quickly there because TDR is very popular.
I booked my room at Shanghai Disney via phone in April for an October check in. We stayed at the Toy Story Hotel.

Am going in May next year to Tokyo and fancy a night or two at one of the Disney hotels.
We land Wednesday 15th May and fancy staying 3 nights - but couple of questions for people that have gone / going. If I want to book 15th My next year for 2 or 3 nights, what date is 6 months and what time (UK) does it go live? Thursday November 15th? What time? I hear you pay a deposit and balance at hotel, any issues booking with UK credit cards? Am told the Disney hotels have appeared on Booking.com, but a quick search now does not revela them in search results, was it perhaps another site? |

Our dates came out 5 months before our trip, i'm not sure what time exactly they went live as my fiancé booked the room but i've got a feeling it was around midnight. I can check with him later for you though. I know we did have problems paying, again i'm not sure how he got around it but TDR Explorer wrote a piece about it a little while ago. The deposit was ¥30,000 for a 2 night stay in a Chip n Dale room at the Disney Ambassador for 2 adults. I think its a flat deposit rate for each booking over a set price. Your dates will come out a little earlier if you're booking one of the packages through Disney, it'll be a bit more expensive but it'll get you extra Fast Pass tickets etc, we just went with a room only booking - we'll be buying our tickets there so we can get the every day hoppers rather than tickets where you can't hop until day 3. |
