First time in Orlando

Hey guys! I would appreciate some second (or third etc.) pair of eyes for my itinerary. It's on the online planning thingy here on the Dibb.

I'm going with my sister (both in our twenties) and it's our first time to both WDW and Universal and we're mainly going because of Harry Potter. I'll probably get some shocks for planning only half a day at Magic Kingdom, but we only have two days at Disney so our whole visit will be limited to a best of (and giving us enough of a taste to come back for a longer stay probably ). We're also doing MNSSHP later in the trip, so that will give us some more time in MK. The first two days are probably also a bit fuller than they should be, but again we only have two days so we have to make them worth it.

Thank you!

Looks good, I would be knackered on day 2 but I am in my 50's, at your age you should be able to wing it.
Also MMNSHP you can still book Fast passes between 4 and 7pm.
Have a great time

Hi and welcome to the dibb
Just looking at. Your Disney days, really not sure why you are moving around so much , that all takes time
I get you want to do all 4 parks , but you have 6 visits , so 2 extra journeys that you don't need if planned differently

Never stayed on site before so don't know the rules re leaving luggage etc, but not really sure why you are getting an uber to US in mid afternoon, then coming back to Disney only then to go back to US at night for your hotel
Can you not just collect your luggage later on and not have to make an ( unnecessary) trip there and back?

Blimey, those first 2 days are exhausting.

I don't think it's very realistic (or enjoyable) to do as much on your first full day.
I would drop your evening trip to Epcot and get some sleep, ready for your busy next day.

I agree with buryboy, the afternoon trip to your Universal hotel is unnecessary. You can leave your bags with Bell services at Coronado Springs for the day. Pick them up at the end of the day and then uber over to Universal.

That will free up your afternoon for Epcot, with a trip over to MK for the evening. After watching HEA, back to the hotel to collect your bags, so cancelling Ohana.

It will still be very hot and humid, which is very energy sapping, so is harder to cover these vast areas, while still having fun.

Your time at Universal will be much more relaxing.

Good Luck and have a great trip.

I guess you're both right, not sure what my reasoning was there.

Why exactly would you cancel the Ohana dinner? Because we'll be too tired or because we'd be picking up our luggage/arrive at Universal too late?

Abit of both really. For peace of mind I'd prefer to check in by 9pm, rather than 11pm.

I'd leave Ohana for your next onsite stay (with free DDP)

I would skip MK on day 3 in the evening if you're spending the evening there on day 5. If anything you have too much time scheduled for Universal Parks. With express passes it is possible to do them both in a long day - without express passes you can do them over 2 fairly relaxed days.

Well I guess that's a bit subjective, no? As I said, we're mainly going for Harry Potter and I can easily see myself spend a week in just those two areas.

The MK detour on day three is mainly because we don't want to miss out on HEA with MNSSHP having another fireworks show. It also seemed to make sense with Ohana being only a monorail ride away from MK, but I guess that's up for reconsideration now.

We pretty much spent 2 days doing the Harry Potter stuff. Rode the train one way only but I suggest doing both ways as I think they are both a bit different. We spent a fair bit of time just sitting around & taking it all in.

In truth we didn't really enjoy the US parks except for the HP areas.

So maybe you won't need as much time there as you think but you probably won't know until you're there. So you may find you have the odd spare day to be flexible.

I went in my 20s & we had an amazing time - non stop! In my 40s with a few health issues it's not so easy so make the most of it!
