Mobile Dibbers and Abbreviations!

Hi all been a member for around 12months now. Great advice ahead of our first trip which we are currently on. However I find the use of abbreviations really difficult to follow. Does anyone have the same issue?

Thanks. It can feel like you are not part of it at first... I tried to respond to one thread once that had about three points in it. I didn’t understand one of the abbreviations so asked a few times and they just kept repeating the abbreviation! Will take a look so I don’t feel so excluded!

Yes I don’t have a clue about the abbreviations and don’t use them.
The only one know and use is Op as in the person who started the thread.

Hello and welcome, I'm sure you'll get use to them. It'll soon become second nature

You get used to them quite quickly and you’ll soon find you’re using them in ‘real life’. I often text my daughters with exciting news and they text back telling me to speak English!

Lots of them are used in many other forums (OP - opening post, DH - dear husband etc) so it isn’t just the Dibb. However, Disney in particular has so many acronyms! You will soon get used to it.

(And once Toy Story Land opens we may have to find a new acronym for the aliens ride. The software will probably censor the acronym for Alien Swirling Saucers!)

Ass is a genuine word; it's a type of donkey. This website isn't American, so I don't know what other meaning you could be alluding to.

Anyway, the software seems to allow the phrases fanny pack and bum bag, so I think ASS will be ok.
