Sanford to ASM via food shop
This is the first time we have flown into Sanford and driving to WDW.
We ideally would like to go from Sanford pick up some groceries on the way (snacks and drinks mainly) and then go to ASM. Has anyone done this before and which grocery store is either on the way or near ASM. We originally wanted Walmart but any thing like publiks might be better. Any advice would be great - Also I assume it is best to use the 417. is the 417 a toll road?

At the moment with the road works on I4 I would definitely use 417 which is a toll road. Make sure you get some change at the first toll booth as you may exit via an unmanned booth.
There are a few garages on the way out of the airport but you might be better visiting one of the larger supermarkets in the Kissimmee area before checking in

depending on your exit, about $7/8. Well worth it for the quieter more relaxing drive imho

Can any one explain the Alamo toll pass to me.
It states $3.95 per day and not more than $19.95 per rental So for a 2 week rental would it only cost us $19.95 if we drive through tolls and not pay?

As far as I understand that is the fee to use the cash free option. Alamo will charge the toll fee to your credit card on top of that.
