Assistance Manchester Airport?

Hi all. I’m after some help & the Manchester airport website isn’t very helpful. My Nan can’t walk very far anymore and wouldn’t manage getting through security through to the terminal etc. Is there wheelchair rental at Manchester airport, or any sort special assistance? I know we can get assistance for her on an off the plane but is there anything to help her get through the airport?

Do they organise assistance as soon as you arrive at the airport? I assumed it was only from the gate to the plane. Thanks.

There is a phone on the wall outside departures you pick it up and tell them you have arranged assistance with your airline.they will ask for your name and booking reference then they will come out and escort you through the airport all the way to the gate. Hope this helps.
