DVC documentation

Just in case anyone was wondering what your contract was governed by.
First the main document is called Declaration of Condominium and exhibits. This is a very lengthy document. It is on the OC Comptroller’s website, this is the one for Boardwalk but they are all virtually identical in the main form: or.occompt/recorder/eagle...t=DOCC10251775

Next you have the Home Resort Rules and Regulations which you will find in the impotantant documents section of your DVC Membership page.
Some of the clauses may surprise you. For example, check in is not 4pm, but after so could be up to 11.59 and can be altered at DVCMCs discretion.
The membership to the Club of DVC is by automatic appertuance to owning the real estate, and transfers to the new owner. Some people seem to think if you don’t buy direct you are not a full club member, but you certainly are, the only thing you don’t get are non contractual marketing freebies given away to attract more timeshare sales. There are no tiers of membership to the Club.
No pets allowed full stop. So they couldn’t ever put dogs in there unless they amend this, which they can at their discretion but only if it is not detrimental to owner’s (all owners) interests.
The home resort priority has to be at least 1 month.
