Mobile Virgin package with car

Ok so our virgin package comes with car but insurance is £700 on top ( just the usual) what do other people do in these circumstances? Leave the car hire separate?

Yeah i don't bother with the bundled car hire due to the excessive cost of the insurance. Both times i have booked a package it has been cheaper to arrange the car hire myself.

When I booked with VH over the phone, I had looked at Virgin standalone car hire which comes with fully comprehensive insurance and a really good price. I asked them to include that car with the package rather than the one that comes as standard as that one with VH is a joke in terms of insurance and cost unfortunately.

Yep. They wanted £550 for insurance on the basic car. I cancelled it and went to DFCH - Andy. Got a much better deal on a convertible and fully insured too.

Stick with the package but don't bother picking up their car, arrange your own.

I would cancel the 'free' car as we got £50 refunded for doing so.

Virgin for me are really good, being a young driver ive got a Mustang or similar Virgin gold insurance with all young drivers fees for under £350. To me i thought that was a mega deal!

I recently cancelled the car hire part with Virgin and received 781.00GBP back despite it being ‘free’. I have booked a better car with Alamo brits for the same price as I received back.

Cancel the car... that’s what most are saying. You will get some refund from VH
Then book with the likes of VA who give you air miles plus one additional driver free.
