Alamo Brits - MCO Vs MIA Price Difference

Hi

I am flying into Miami this year and driving up to Orlando the next morning. (Half Price Airfare).

I also got what looks like a great deal on Car hire from Alamo Brits, 15 Days Premium Elite SUV for £500. It then got me thinking does MCO have the same prices, so I did a price comparison for the same dates between MCO and MIA.

Dates are 5th October 2018 to 20th October 2018, 48 years old, the difference in prices is immense.

Big ones for me are Premium Elite SUV - £504 MIA - £2140 MCO and Luxury Car £458 MIA - £1656 MCO.

Moral of the Tale, fly into Miami, half price Airfare and quarter Price Car Hire.

Alamo via Discount Florida Car Hire and VA prices are a lot nearer to Brits MIA prices, but going thro MCO

Pays to look around as your post highlights

Still not as cheap, but closer by far in most cases

OP. Good post and food for thought. As PPM says though one has to shop around and try all the suppliers.

pays to shop around, but also prices are based on demand and amount of rolling stock still available.

Pricing up to Tampa airport would also be interesting...

Hm nice find, could 'compensate' the cheaper airplane ticket. But hey you can always rent for 1 day and then rent the rest of the days from Orlando!

Mattie112 they are a lot cheaper in Miami. Go a day early. Get a cheap hotel near Miami airport and then drive up the next day.

Alamo Brits prices for MCO are insane at the moment for 2019. I've paid £266 for a luxury through Virgin Atlantic. Brits wanted £543

It's like whoever loaded in the prices on their system for MCO has put a x2 multiplier into the price by accident.

Either that or they will be coming out with a massive sales advertising campaign for 2019 where they say they discounted the prices by 60%.
