Accommodation for ds in Madrid, any ideas please.

Ds has to go to Madrid from sept to March,he would be working in a school (unpaid), at university “the year abroad team” have told him,he could go there,stay in a hostel for a few nights and look for accommodation himself?, he then will move to Germany where everything’s sorted already(March to sept), just wondering if you guys have any ideas,as the people in the school all say,they cannot or don’t know anyone who will give him a “room” or anything,this is mega doing are head in,obviously we know he will have to pay,but where do we start,who do we trust etc etc, any offers appreciated,if helps the school is based in “ alcobendas”,Madrid,Spain,I know it’s a long shot, thanks, bondy.

I'd contact some air bnb owners in the vicinity and see if you could negotiate some long term rates
