Character Spot FastPass - Tier 1?

I feel like I’m going crazy! It was my FastPass booking day today and luckily managed to get everything I wanted apart from the Character Spot at Epcot because that’s now a tier 1, I’m sure it never used to be. Can anyone confirm if this is a recent change? It made me change all my plans that day lol

Yes it's a recent change as we got back end of May and it wa a T2 then. To be honest I'm not surprised as the FP queues were often really bad. As we've got little ones we would often have that as our T2 and out of four FPs we only kept one as each time the FP queue was in excess of 40mins which is just no good for a 1yr old and a 3yr old so cancelled them. So making it T1 should ease this I think.
