Sorry my fault- it is still $150 for Gold, it hasn't gone up yet but will do likely in the next few weeks.

Have you seen rumours about the price or is that just a guess? I need to get a pass in May for my soon to be 3 year old and I’m really hoping it doesn’t go up.

If it's not a renewal I would buy now before the February price rise. Of course if it's a renewal you can't sadly.

I have already put a deposit on a 14 day ticket. We were only planning on going once this year and booked the second trip after I had paid. I will lose £40 if I cancel and buy an AP outright.

Considering they went up in June last year I think we will have longer than a few weeks...

I really hope you are right but I’m not banking on it. I’m assuming there will be the normal late Feb rise.

APs didn't last February, so more likely not this Feb either.

You could be correct but I wouldn’t bank on it.

An interesting post.

If I’m reading this right, we can buy a 14 day ticket for £399 ($522) from Disney UK, and add a bridging upgrade for $150 when we get to Disney Springs. Total cost $672.

If we purchase a DVC Gold AP directly, it will cost $744. So this comes at a $72 premium per ticket.

I’ll happily make a trip to Member Services to save $144 on the purchase of 2 tickets.

A couple of questions:

- if you use the water parks when you have the 14 day ticket, does it preclude you from upgrading to a Gold AP at the end of your trip?
- if we upgrade to a Gold AP on day 14, does the AP expire 12 months after the upgrade, or from the date of first park entry under the 14 day ticket?

Thanks for the clarification.
