Mobile USA bank account

Hi, we’ve just become DVC members 😀 we’re back home now and want to set up an American bank account - do you know if this is possible? It’s mainly to pay finance. Thanks x

We just joined too, with the us account i guess you need to be in the usa to join. Anyone ever used accounts like monzo to pay?

I just didn’t think through that I should open one when we were there! Do you think it’s impossible from UK?

I've asked similar before and the answer was no, unfortunately. Maybe things have changed?

We’ve taken finance and it was a better rate if you had a USA account. I’m so mad we didn’t sort it there!

We used Transferwise to move some money this summer and it works by giving you a sort code / account number just as if you have a US bank account.

We only used it briefly to move money in/ out but it might be worth a look.
