Still way to high.

We paid £2700 (3a 1c) direct from Manchester flying Saturday 18th July (start of school holidays in England) in January sales with TUI.

the difference pp between hand luggage and checked baggage / seat selection is coming up at about £236 this is for 2 adults and 2 children. So for example if I just checked 2 suitcases between us plus the hand luggage how much would I expect it to be?

thanks
From what I can see it’s $60 per bag per flight so $120 return.
Is that £236pp for bags and seats? That’s an outrageous amount if so!

That’s a crazy price for flight only, I’d want the villa and car included and maybe some park tickets!

On the lookout for flights again, as I've had a nightmare of a time trying to deal with the effects of Flybe going under. Word of advice NO ONE book with lastminute.com :/

Just booked with Delta, Dublin to Miami return with one stop €1,104 for the two of us, out late July, back mid August.
Happy with those prices

Booked with Virgin this morning LGW to MCO direct. Out 30th July, return 14th August. 3 adults, 1 young adult. Economy classic so this includes checked bags. Virgin also has free seat booking. Booked on Virgin Atlantic website via TopCashback link. £2366 (and cashback has tracked at £7.57!) Very happy that price direct both ways from my preferred airport. Skyscanner has same route same day economy light (no bags) for around £2000, but bizarrely the economy classic option via that link is around £6000!

Probably not a popular time to book but I’ve payed by credit card, and my travel insurance covers FCO advice not to travel so I’m feeling fairly well protected.
