BLT 1 bed standard, should I walk?

Hi

Sorry for the 5 million questions recently.

We are looking for a 1 bed, standard view at BLT from 5th October 2022. I'm concerned that the 1 bed standards go quickly and seem to be limited in number...if you were me, would you walk it? And if yes... an idiots guide to walking would be amazing!

I would walk it if your point levels meant it was your only option in the one bed selection.

To walk you grab it when it's available, maybe checking early Sept to see what demand is like. When you have it you modify every few days before your final date opens to everyone making a new booking. For example if you have a 7 day booking move it every five days.

Watch out for point differences if the season changes and anomalies like different number of days in the month you are booking versus the month you do the booking in.

It's not the only thing the points would stretch to but I have plans for 2023 for the rest of them so it would be really good to get the standard.

Ok, so I'm looking out for when check in day (5th Oct) becomes available? then booking as soon as that is within my week?

No if you're walking you grab it earlier. Then modify every few days until you've shifted it to the date you really want.

Watch out tomorrow when Sept 25th is available to book and if a one bed std is there grab it for however many days you will need.

Then every few days move it until the check in date is Oct 5th.

Ah ok, right I'll book a week tomorrow (we need 8 nights...so do I book from the 25th for 7 or if available, the 24th for 8?) then in a few days, modify it...ok. Cool, thank you so much (again).

No probs, I'd book seven nights tomorrow, then move it every five days until you get a week checking in the 5th, then the day after add the eighth day.
