For those who stay off site
Where do you think the best villa communities are and why? Looking to stay in a villa with a private pool, we don’t want to be too far away. Mainly doing Disney and booking one night at Universal, with maybe a couple of beach trips. We might have 2 cars, but assuming parking at the villa won’t be a problem. Thanks

We like the Formosa Gardens area which would have Emerald Island, Sunset Lakes, Windsor Palms to name a few. Have travelled from door of villa in Sunset Lakes to turnstiles in Animal Kingdom in 15 minutes (granted it was an evening visit)
Lots of restaurants in the area and you have a Super Target, Publix and Walmart within short drive of the villas in the locality. |

We stayed in Davenport in 2019 for our first offsite stay since 2019, the villa was fabulous but I did feel it was a bit farther out.
We have booked a villa in Windsor Palms for next year which isn’t far from the 192. We have our own pool and hot tub but also communal facilities in the resort.

We like Lake Wilson, stayed there there since 2011. It’s a small community so pretty quiet. There’s lots of restaurants at Champions Gate a five minutes drive away, there’s also a Publix’s Wawa’s,CVS and various other shops.

Anywhere off Hwy 27 or Championsgate area would be my choices.

Thanks for your replies. At least it gives us an idea for where to start looking. The areas all sound ideal, I think this will be the hardest but if the planning.

Take a look at the villa location map on the dibb menu and you will be able to see were the villa communities are in relation to the parks, you could also pop a request in the villa request section to see if any owners have availability for your dates that will at least give you a starting point.
Have fun finding your perfect place to stay. Steve |

This is the area I live in. It is extremely convenient for Disney and restaurants. We originally bought our house as a short term rental and had really hated being further out on our first villa holiday. It was Christmas so the traffic was extreme but we would have found the drive annoying even without traffic.
The houses in this area tend to be older than many villa communities but they also tend to not be so close together and to have more mature landscaping. Some of the newer places look like lego villages to me. Be aware the interiors will vary enormously if looking modern is important to you.
