I've never stayed at Riviera and have to say it looks nice but I'm a big fan of being able to walk to Epcot and boat to the studios from the BC.

We have just booked Rivera as we could not get BWV for our dates.
It’s the only resort we have not stayed at so looking forward to it.

It'd be BC for me (obviously, but I am biased towards it!), I wouldn't spend more points to stay further away from the park I most want to be in, walking in and out of IG is priceless.

I've not stayed at Riviera but we have visited and looked round it, I was a tad underwhelmed to be honest,

I’d personally get Boardwalk as we prefer that over BC.
Otherwise I’d go for BC.
Riviera just hasn’t done anything for me, and I’m one of the rare Brits like Poohbear to actually have been there due to lockdowns. We went just after it opened. It was a grey day, the Skyliner broke down and we were stopped for 20 mins or so in the station. As we approached on this grey day, it looked a bit like a prison- big grey box. Lobby underwhelming. Like a fancy London hotel. Theming clashes with Caribbean Beach.
Mrs YT just said ‘No way’. I wasn’t overly thrilled myself. We then waited ages for a bus, and I got thinking when the Skyliner is down, this could be a real problem.
Having said all this, I’ve since seen so many reports of people saying how much they love it when staying there. I’m a great believer in not judging a resort until you have actually stayed- having been wrong both ways (didn’t like Animal Kingdom that much thought we would love it, love Boardwalk, Mrs YT was not keen to stay) so I will give it a go at some point and then decide.
