I pay my dues with my Curve card linked to my Virgin Atlantic card. No fees with Curve up to £500 a month. I pay the dues monthly, or hold off if the exchange rate falters.

Nice little airmiles earner and no extra costs 😃

Can I just ask, with paying in advance, if you end up being in positive credit when the dues are announced for the following year, does your positive credit just get rolled over to pay off the next year or does it get refunded?

It will roll over.

I finally got around to converting some more of my rental monies from Paypal which I have accumulated over the last few years and paid off most of next year's dues- just $400 left to pay, nice feeling, our hopefully 4 nights in the Grand Cali in a 1 bed (hopefully) will be free, a 1 bed suite there (possibly not as good as DVC room as it doesnt have full kitchen) for 4 nights July spanning a weekend is an unbelievable $10,307 incl tax. Plus they have the cheek to charge you $35 a day parking on top, at least we dont pay that either.
Seems the Americans have so much money they will just about pay anything- its crazy. Thank goodness for DVC.

This has been a really helpful thread for a newbie. I've excitedly paid $200 of my dues today! Ha ha! Never thought I'd be so happy to part with my cash.

Don’t forget as well you will get a small dues credit due to tax overpayments. I am due about $80. Which means my last payment will actually be lower than I anticipated above.

Hi, YorkshireT. Did you manage to use the PayPal to buy gift cards in the end or did you just convert back to pounds to pay the dues? I haven't tried in a while so I didn't know if there had been any advances since I last tried (and failed).
Thanks

In the end I couldn’t be bothered with the faff (was causing procrastination on dues payments as I kept thinking I’d try it again and never got around to it- I was also worried about it not working and money being lost in the ether) so I just took the hit converting it to £ and paid it on credit card.

DVC need to start accepting PayPal. Then again I don’t intend renting again, this was due to 2 years of not being able to use the points.
