Here Now RPR- supposed to leave Sunday but effectively stranded :(

Sorry if this is rambling... So a totally ruined day today, can't believe the service here We have been asking since Tuesday about extending our stay if the worst happens and told they were full but to check back and they were sure something would come up. Checked back everyday, then this morning there is suddenly a waiting list (which we would have happily gone on Tuesday had they said!) but as of this evening there is no availability. We have booked a room here for Monday - Saturday as on another note, KLM offered to reschedule our flight... in 9 days time (and would charge us a fee as it has not been cancelled yet!?) but I read we are better to wait until it is cancelled and they they will get us on a sooner flight?
This is a nightmare We are scared and not sure what to do- there may well be a curfew by Sunday, I am not comfortable taking my child to a shelter in a foreign country either to be honest.
One person hinted that they may set up shelter here for people that cannot leave, that would be something as we are only without a room for technically hours between reservations.
We have wasted today sick with worry and trying to see if there was somewhere else we could go, and talking to the hotel being told all different things.
Nothing anyone can do really I guess, at the moment we plan to just sit it out and hope they come good with letting us stay for the overnight on the floor somewhere?! Interested if anyone else is in the same position and if I am missing something
Just to note we are staying club level and have stayed a fair bit at Universal too, sad to say husband says he will never come back after this..

So sorry I can't offer any advice, but didn't want to read and run. Hopefully someone will offer advice soon. I would be considering just staying put in room tbh. My heart goes out to you xx

Have you tried contacting any of the other local hotels direct rather than through RPR?

Surely they can't turf you out? But if they have no rooms it may be reception 😔 Do they have no alternatives?

We have cancelled our 14 nights at Portofino Bay today that should have started tomorrow (now going on 17th but they can't get us in there) so maybe worth checking as I'm guessing many with 14 nights starting Saturday will have had to change to different hotels too due to availability

I would try and find somewhere else to be safe personally. And I'm glad they did.
