Another curtain question - length

DH and I are beginning to redecorate the lounge and want some new curtains.

My dilemma is the length. I want ones that go to the floor. I can’t find any that go longer than 228cm other than two pairs on Dunelm’s website and when I’ve been into store they feel thin and cheap. 228cm stops half way between the window and the floor which looks ridiculous.

Does anywhere sell longer length curtains?

Surely I can’t be the only one who lives in a house that needs curtains longer than 228cm?😅

No not at all. I have this too. Am looking at made to order. Hillary's also has some longer ones, but the colour way doesn't work for us.

I did get in a muddle with customers and Inches on a lot of curtains shops. Never realised that inches were still so.popular in haberdashery 😕

I can’t get ready made curtains as they don’t come long enough. I sew my own - curtains are quite simple to make. Have a go!

I’m finding the price difference between ready made and made to order extortionate for an extra 30cm!😖

I’ve found some at Dunelm that I like but that would mean getting ones that finish half way between the window and floor or I get a shorter length that fits to the window but I don’t want to because I think it will look odd.

OP. Are you sure you are measuring right? You say 228cm stops halfway between the window and the floor whereas 228cm is 7ft 6"

Edit. We use Curtain2Go.

Where do you get your fabric from?

Yep! We have an old Victorian house. Ceiling to floor is over 9ft. 😊

I’ve measured the curtains several times to check.👍🏻

Bought fabric in Laura Ashley a couple of times and I have also bought in the John Lewis sale. There are also places like local independent fabric stores.
