Has rebooking worked in your favour?

I booked flights in May 21 and paid 3k, which was 2 economy departures and 2 premium economy returns to the UK.

I’ve had my October 23rd flights cancelled so will get a refund.

My new journey scheduled a month later, I’ve paid off flights, car hire, universal/sea world/Busch/Disney and discovery cove Dolphin swim for about £4200. My flights this time were economy both ways with no premium option though. If I went on my original dates, I would have spent close to £6k once I sorted out carhire and theme park tickets!

Kind of, we extended our January stay, our flights are reward flights which were in and out of Miami, I've managed to extend the stay and change them to MCO flights both ways, which tie in with our friends we're going with (they have reward flights with BA, ours are with VS)

So all worked out very nicely and no amendment fee - very happy.

Yeah, I mean ignoring the fact that not being able to go was rubbish, we've ended up getting better flights and securing upper with vouchers, flights we got were priced at 22k, we've paid around 3k including taxes.

Kind of. We were originally going for 1 week in Jan 2021 when we booked in Jan 2020 and now we are going for 2 weeks. We managed to grab Avios CW seats before everyone else heard about the announcement so that’s a plus - they were all gone by the evening! We have had good and bad luck with DVC rooms and I’m yet to ring and re-activate my DVC Gold pass as it’s a 2hr expensive phone call to the US (can’t use the free phone member services number) and it can only be amended once so I have to wait for 100% confirmation of US travel opening date before I do it.

No. Flights are much the same as hey have all been on Avios points, although I have lost £70 here and there with cancellations. Hotels for 2022 are more expensive than I had booked in 2020 and even this year.

We've now got to split the villa between 5 and not 7, so it's probably costing us more.
But we are now squeezing into 1 car rather than having 2 so I don't know what difference that makes

Not done too bad. We had flights booked for June for 2 weeks. £1400.

Flights were obviously cancelled but allowed us to change them for no additional cost for next July/Aug and for 19 days. Flights coming up as £7055!

Obviously car hire is more but will hopefully drop before next July! Currently showing £1400 but have got it down to £750 by doing a split booking.

Universal 1 night hotel booking worked out alright too, Tesco refunded the points we used to book it and hotel booking company did too! 🤣

Did lose £40 deposit on park tickets on last years trip but hey ho.

Edited at 04:09 PM.
