If we do get to go we have 10 nights in a 2 bed in SSR, we aren't doing the Christmas Bash thing as we thought it was overpriced. I have a standard SUV booked and we'll do a couple of days at Universal as well. My sister and nephews haven't been for years so this is special to go with them.

It was more points than we ever spend but better to use them than lose them.

We fly on Dec 18 with 2 nights in Miami South Beach, 6 nights in DVC then 3 Nights on Sanibel Island.
We are then flying up to Washington DC for 3 Nights and fly home from there.

Booked ages ago so got BA direct to Miami and Direct home from Washington DC with mid size Suv in Florida for £1795 2 Adults and 2 kids

Cant wait to see new rooms at SSR ( our home resort) and then Beach Club which is where we stayed on our first dvc booking way back in 1989, first time back since then.

Just Glad we can finally go despite all the aggravation of tests etc
You are going to be at SSR for the exact same days as us, small world (sorry couldn't resist the pun). We are also staying in preferred room, do you have any suggestions for room requests - I know they are hit and miss but we have never stayed at SSR before and are not sure what we should ask for.

Thank you, we are hopefully arriving at the resort by mid-morning as we are coming from port Canaveral, after rebooking the holiday for the 4th time we just decided to throw everything at it including a cruise

We are so excited about staying at SSR, this will be our welcome home stay after buying a small contract earlier this year.

I would ask for Congress Park, if you want equal proximity to Disney Springs and the hospitality house. It is the quiet pool.
We actually prefer standard and the Paddock, we like the snack bar there and the pool proximity to the blocks. It has a slide for kids and a splash area.
The Springs is on top of the hospitality house and main pool, you may prefer that.
So really depends on what type of experience you want, quiet or busy.
Watch some vlogs fo the different areas on YouTube

Hi and will do! We have done the splurge option to use previously banked points…. So as well as SSR we have 3 nights in a Poly Bungalow 😀

We have a trip booked 14-27th November and stalked the DVC site to get rooms as soon as the ‘November opening’ was announced. We have a mixture of nights all at BWV and BCV. I’m still trying to get 2 random nights and if they don’t come up in the next couple of weeks I’ll book them direct through Disney instead.

We are in a 2 bed at BCV at the same time! We fly into MCO on Xmas Eve and have booked BCV 24-27th then have 2 x Studios at SSR 27-30th followed by a 2 bed SSR 30-1st Jan, then Treehouse Villas 1-4th Jan. It’s a bit of moving around although almost all within SSR, so not too bad.

I used my points for November and have rented some points from a lovely Dibber for December and then used the rest of my points. I am constantly stalking the DVC site and if I can get any extra nights in a 2 bed at SSR then I will be able to cancel the studios.

Definitely someone who has worked hard to cobble something together! 👍 Fingers crossed for your 2 bed.
