What villa owners get up to

We knew March 2020 we’d need to replace one bedroom carpet but as-the world knows the thing changed priorities
Ie oop flight home when Icelandic stoped flying and said we didn’t fly you to the Us so we are not taking you out
I knew one carpet needed done but that’s now all bedrooms being tiled

With the carpet removed ( they said was 7 am too late that’s fine said me they were at the bottom of the drive at 6/55 andbng on 7 the door bell went they stoped for 20 mins for lunch
How it looks tonight
We I picked tile it worked out at $6 a square foot that was for furniture removal / back in place

Like Helen (Gryff) we're currently in Florida and I'd describe this trip as being like a maintenance visit on speed, after deciding not to rent since March 2020 and not being able to visit ourselves since Sept 2019! When this trip comes to an end I'll be looking forward to a rest!

I for one am very grateful for all the hard work

Well
Why oh why can’t we get the service from trades I’ve had this week here at the villa
I only had to strip the beds and move lamps etc from the furniture didn’t need to empty drawers etc
They moved every bit of furniture dismantled if need be took the doors off rooms cupboards took all the rubbish away ( one load to go but it’s got an HOA permitted sticker on it so no fine )
Removed all the carpet tiled and washed and washed the floors till they were clean enough put all the furniture back
Worked out t $6 a square foot for supply fit white glove service ( the furniture bit ) and haul away and I’m delighted with it all finished they even put the safe back down and fixed the garage door and cleaned the garage where they had been cutting tiles etc
A couple of things were lost in translation but we got there with a lot of laughing as well
