Quick update, I'm now officially serving my notice, it went down like a lead balloon but at same time my manager who until this has always been lovely said she understood I had to do what was right for me and my family. I have to give a full four weeks notice which is rubbish cos it now clashes with my new job start date but that's sorted and delayed a week fingers crossed. I was more or less told I was leaving at worst time which it is as we are prepping for Xmas but no staff are off apart from me next week until I leave. Im pretty sure I'll be tasked with all the crud but hey ho it's not for long. But now I'm after a bit of extra advice... Am I expected to work overtime during my notice period or can I just say I'd rather work my contracted hours. I don't mind helping if I'm honest but I also want to do it on my terms if that makes sense and want to say no if I'm given all the rubbish extra shifts. Thanks x

I thought it was, I've always been happy to help with extra shifts but after how I have been left feeling today I really am just wanting to stick to my contracted hours if I can, thanks for replying
