Droid vs Savi workshops

1st October I have reservations for both Savi and the droid workshops but I’m having second thoughts.
Savi appears to be the ultimate Experience but I’m worried about getting it home as it’s slightly too big for my case and I’m also worried about possibly be the one adult among kids!

Droid depot, not quite as cool as the lightsaber and the experience isn’t as great but a good second place to the lightsaber.

I’m really not sure should I do one or the other or both?

The workshops seem more geared towards adults than children to me. We will be going as two adults and not remotely worried. We are doing the droid depot not the lightsaber, didn’t occur to me that it was not as cool, a lightsaber seems a bit daft for us to get (as adults), the droid we will enjoy.

I've got both booked. I guess I'll probably like one over the other but they both look like great experiences!

You definitely won't be the only adult at either event from what I've seen there are often more adults than kids

lightsabre build is twice the cost of the droid I think? although perhaps more the CLASSIC experience.

BUT the droid looks a bit more functional and more to play with after. half the price too.

I too am very worried about getting them home :/ I wish I could find some exact dimensions.

End of the day, I reckon I'll get a bit more fun out of the droid than the lightsaber but then in a way it's all about the experience and memories for me.

The light sabre experience is very expensive. We’re going for the droids as at least they’ll do something. I’m also not worried about being an adult! I expect it to be mainly adults!

I’ve been told the lightsaber blade is 32” long if that helps

Booked the droid experience for our 3 kids (hubby secretly wants one too though) one of them would definitely be interested in the lightsaber but he doesn’t have that much spending money 🙈

We've gone for a droid on the basis of it being easier to display at home and potentially more "fun" to play with in the land. But then, I'm not in to swinging lightsabres around, which makes me wonder what on earth we'd actually do with one once we had it. I like the idea that with the right accessories, the droids can "interact" with things in the land itself. But on that point...

Not necessarily - Disney state that a fully customised/functional droid can cost $200-$300. The $99 is the base price, but there are plenty of extras to add on. How much extra you have to buy to make it work is not clear, but it sounds like it will be easy to spend the same amount on a droid as on a lightsabre. I think a few people have missed this fact in the small print.
