Run Disney Paris 2019

Hi everyone! I'm organising a trip to Paris for our running group, Run To The Magic have started taking bookings for next year but the only problem I can see is they want full payment by December 28th, such a shame as it'll put so many of the group off.

One of our members who is also helping me organise has offered to start a savings club, is there any companies that don't want full payment so soon?

Sorry this Paris malarkey is all new to me lol

I booked with Run to the Magic for this year and full payment was due 1st February (which I still thought was ridiculous but anyway... )

I did a dummy booking on their site yesterday and the T&Cs still say 1st February. They obviously haven't updated them properly but you could always book and then insist they stick to the T&Cs

I'm hesitating at the moment because the same package we had this year is £210 more per person next year. That's a huge increase and RTTM are saying it's down to Disney changing their pricing structure. It's making us rethink to be honest - we had the most amazing weekend this year and I'm not sure anything will top it!

We also booked with Run to the Magic last year, and I've requested a quote for next year.

However if prices have gone up that much may need to reconsider. An alternative option I'm looking at is to simply book a hotel package (staying onsite - the German site has a good deal at the moment covering those dates - 25% off and free HB); then trying to get bibs separately.

Did anyone who booked just the bibs this year have problems getting them? I know they don't release them till about July.

As feared the quote from Run to the Magic has come back £400 more expensive than last year - a big difference!

Still really want to do the races so will need to think through different options

It's such a shame, isn't it? If it had even been £100 I reckon we would have rebooked next year before we'd even left Paris! But £200 for the same package is just a huge increase (around 30% more than this year!)

I booked hotel with WDTC as soon as dates were announced, got the two nights free offer. Booked bibs when released. Didn't have any issues getting what I wanted, but I was sat waiting on my computer when they were released. Found that way cheaper than the packages on offer.

Wait until DLP release packages for that period next year and add the bibs on. You'll be able to do this before the bib only release.

If they repeat the same offers as this year you should be able to get 4 nights for the price of 2 over the Run Disney weekend.

Yep thats my current thinking. The German and Netherlands site both have offers of 25% off and free half board which cover the dates and work better for us than the 4 for 2 nights as only there for 3. Still more expensive than this year though

I did the run weekend this year... love, love, loved it. Sooooo doing it again next year. Only did the half this year, but want to do all three next year. I just booked a hotel package, got 4 nights for 2 in Feb 2018. Paid deposit (£200 ish) and the full balance in July. Then just bought my bib separately. Got cheap EasyJet flights from Liverpool to CDG. Transfers with Prestige, who were fab.

My only concern for next year is there is no NYH (where we stayed) as it’s being refurbed, so reduced availability overall. I’ve already started looking at Newport Bay. In fact I was pricing up the hotel on Monday when we were still there waiting for rides! Overall it’s looking more expensive than this year, but we had such a fab time that I want to do it again. The current 4 for 2 offer ends 1 October... ohhh, decisions, decisions...

Think this is the way I'm going to go for next year. Did you have any problems getting the bibs when they went on sale?
