Warranty Advice - US Apple Products
Hi to everyone at theDibb!
Just a couple of questions to anyone that's purchased an Apple product in the US and has had to make a claim for repair/replacement when back in the UK...
Also, anyone who receives mobile phone insurance through their bank such as NatWest (the one we use), Halifax etc...
Thanks in advance! |

Bought a Macbook pro that developed a fault and had no problem getting it fixed, just booked an appointment at the Apple store they could see that it was purchased in Florida Mall but didn't mention anything and just did the repair.
I've always had excellent customer care with apple.

Ah yes, have already done that, but there is SO much information that I feared I may have missed something which is why I was asking for people's actual experience.
Unfortunately I can't even ask Apple US as their site detects I'm in the UK and automatically refers me back :-/ |

From what I have been told Apple covers their products worldwide because they want big businesses to use them if they did not cover the products they would lose sales to these International companies.

Apple warranties are Gloabl so you should no issues buying in the States and taking into a UK Apple shop if you need to do. I have friends who have bought iPads/iPhone/Macbooks and never had any issues.

Spoke to a member of staff at local Apple store today and they confirmed there were no issues, just that it would take slightly longer to replace a handset as it would need to be ordered from the US - the only concern was some handsets MAY not connect to a 4G network in the UK.
So, anyone had issues with a US purchased iPhone 6 connecting to a 4G signal in the UK? From what I've read, the latest handsets now support the majority of worldwide networks and bandwidths. |
