Evening entertainment?
Hi all. Looking for ideas for evening entertainment.
Previous trips have been about the parks. Busy days and nice dinners... then crashing out in bed by 10(ish)! This time, we are staying at RPR and only have park tickets/activities planned for five of the ten days we are there. So, we figure on (maybe) lazier days and later nights! Any suggestions/recommendations? |

Have you thought about what's happening at the Hard Rock Cafe at City Walk, they often have live bands etc there. You've got the Blue Man Group at Universal as well who, I thought, were brilliant.

You could visit Disney Springs, I love a wander around there in the evening.

Will you have a car, and how far are you willing to travel?
We normally start about now looking for gigs for artists we like who are playing when we go (in May) - previously we've seen Corey Taylor in Clearwater, and Gary Mullen and the Works in Lakeland. We were meant to see Brian Wilson in Tampa last trip, but he cancelled due to ill health. Corey's show, in particular, is one that he rarely does over here, so it was well worth it. Although, ironically, when we were over there, he announced one for London just after we got home - sadly couldn't make it! /Mo |

The Boardwalk, Duelling pianos is really good. House of Blues also have listings of gigs on their web site if you are planning on heading towards Disney. I also liked the evening we had an the area around the Orlando Eye ( I think it’s name has changed )
Enjoy your trip 😀

Thank you for the suggestions.
I have stayed in the Boardwalk area last time and had a great night at the Dueling Pianos (Jellyrolls?). Have seen a similar place in CityWalk so will try that. We keep saying that we will do the House of Blues Sunday Brunch, but this time we alreasy have plans for both Sundays - maybe next time. Unfortunately, I havent found many events on when we are there (11-21st October). Certainly nothing like Corey Taylor. We saw Slipknot at Download this year - now if only they were at the Food and Wine Festival, we may even have bought Disney tickets! Cheers. G. |

How about a meal at Polynesian or California Grill and take in the fireworks as well? Lovely experience.
