When does your tree go up?

It's been a hard year for all. Ours went up November 1st this year.
Grabbing joy wherever we can.

I'm definitely seeing more early trees and decorated houses this year.

We will probably put ours up a little bit earlier than usual this year. We usually will try and have everything decorated by the week before Christmas. I’m working the weekend of 19th/20th December so I’ll try and do it the weekend before.

When I was little (1950's) my mother followed the twelve days of Christmas to the letter so the tree went up on Christmas eve.

For myself, it's changed decade upon a decade and this year it will be going up next weekend.

For decades though I've taken it down on New Year's Eve or earlier, I don't like taking the old year into the new one.

I remember one Boxing Day taking it all down on Boxing Day evening, there was nothing but holiday adverts on TV and the papers. That was pre-daughter.

My tree went up today, a week earlier than usual but I think this year warrants it.

My tree usually goes next to our large 6ft fish tanks. It’s due a big water change on 7th December so tree will probably go up after then

My tree has gone up today and will decorate it tomorrow put the other decorations up last Thursday as like everyone has said this year has been rubbish and I have never had Christmas decorations up before my birthday

Ours has been up for a few weeks now. All presents are wrapped too.
